Foundation Agro-Centre for education is a non-profit organisation, founded 2006 by The Institute of Agriculture – Skopje.
The Institute of Agriculture is devoted towards keeping a track with a modern agricultural production, characterized by quick and profound changes. This scientific institution, one of the oldest in the country was established in 1927. Living and working in a dynamic society, the Institute supports the development of modern and sustainable agricultural production in the country through its team of more than 30 scientists and researches, as well as support staff.
As part of activities aimed at conforming and keeping pace with the contemporary trends in agriculture, rural development and environment protection, the Institute of Agriculture founded a separate unit to deal with agricultural education – the Foundation Agro-Centre for Education (FACE).
Vision – Drawing on the extensive experience of the Institute of Agriculture, FACE is a centre of excellence for development of human resources in the areas of agriculture, food production, environment protection and rural agricultural development in Macedonia and the region.
Mission– FACE’s education services satisfy the needs of the agriculture advisors, farmers, experts, industry managers, policy makers, civil servants and the NGO sector in Macedonia and the region in the areas of agriculture, food production, environment protection and rural development.
General aim of FACE is development of agriculture in Macedonia and the region by strengthening the human capacities based on formal and non-formal education. FACE trough it’s activities strengthens the influence and the contribution of education over sustainable agriculture, environmental protection and rural development, trough contemporary educational methods and curricula both in formal and non-formal frame.
